As pioneers of what has since been termed “neighborhood rock,” these Ohio muckrakers have been at it since 1986. Semi-jokingly described by at least one band member as a cross between “Waylon Jennings, Kool Keith, and the original drummer from Ben Folds Five,” this crew, while constantly veering all over the map in style, tone, and quality to a confounding degree, can nonetheless occasionally deliver some semblance of musical ability to go with their healthy doses of humor. They also had the incredible vision to call their 10th release “Goofy Guys III” a full five years before Van Halen thought of that exact same joke.
If you spot them on the streaming services, the “Short Version” designation in these album titles indicates that these are not complete releases. The full versions of these albums are almost never available, due to clearance issues on their extensive use of (unauthorized) samples.
The current lineup features longtime core members XT Force, Quigley G, and Doom J Warrior. Past members include B.O., Dustin Bones, Weezy, and Agent Nazi 1.
