Eugenio Incarnati (born in L’Aquila, Italy in 1966) is a professional Theater director with a great passion for music and song-writing.
A self- taught musician, he founded different bands back starting from the 90s; among those “The Riosave” and “Troppisoldi” gained some certain popularity up to years 2000.
As a songwriter, he had his first release in 1995 on the independent records company “Divinazione -Milano”; later he kept on regularly releasing various albums and singles, always on “indie” labels.
His main instrument is guitar but he loves bass too, and occasionally plays accordion and keyboards.
A lover of performing arts, he started his professional career in theater in 1992, as stage musician, composer and actor in different theater companies in Italy. A literature and poetry expert, he is a director and playright; music always has the gratest importance in his plays as much as in his life.
Oko & the Authority, an experimental EDM band hailing from Italy, have just released their debut album with us. The album, recorded by the band itself, has been mixed by Enrico Tiberi and mastered by Pete Maher (who mastered works from Lana del Rey, U2, Katy Perry, Linkin Park, Patti Smith, Nine Inch Nails, among others).
This collection of ten deep tracks, ever-changing and ambitious, mixes IDM, EDM, Glitch, Trance and Progressive, a diverse set able to recall the sound of giants such as Telefon Tel Aviv, Daft Punk, Moby, Squarepusher, Alan Parsons, The Algorithm, Hans Zimmer and Robert Miles.
The band itself describes the album in the following way:
“What is Ukronia? It’s our experiment, a multi-shaped microcosm of sounds yearning for the unexplored, the new, the unspoken. The artist creates, and we tried to mold into sound the frontiers of our dreams and feelings. For this reason this album’s identity is the absence of identity itself, between untold sounds and sonorous tales.
Music is in constant evolution. However, we trace our roots deep into those who first pioneered our representative genres: going back to the origins in order to build the future. We want to bring our music to different contexts: live exhibitions, DJ sets, videogame or movie soundtracks, or just a source for pleasurable listening.”
This album dances between classic and modern, old and new, proven and untested, representing the varied artistic background of every member of the group. As a four piece outfit, these are the parties responsible for the various aspects of their sound:
