Artist, designer and producer André Graciotti, from São Paulo – Brazil, cellardoor attempts to create songs with emotional complexity, looking for elaborated electronic textures and cinematic soundscapes without losing his pop sensibility, inspired by bands such as Beach House, The Cure, Depeche Mode and Radiohead.
Graciotti has already released three full albums, two EP and a number of singles, venturing himself in each new release into different styles and music genres, from electronic-dance-music (Random Alarms EP) to indie-folk (Changing Tides EP). After having collaborated with lots of artists – Brazilians and foreigners – cellardoor had a highlight in 2018 when he was invited by other independent musicians to take part in a compilation of Radiohead covers, named “Raindown”. He did his version of “Where I End and You Begin”.
His new album, “Seashores & Riversides”, is formed entirely by collaboration with foreign singers, whom he met online through social music services, like soundcloud and bandcamp, and developed it through long-distance recordings. The album has also a dedicated instagram profile, @seashores_and_riversides, as a visual project and a kind of a digital-interactive-booklet, with lyric-videos for each song.
