Alex Fehr's

Alex Fehr, “Legend of the Lone Wolf”

This multi-instrumentalist from Pennsylvania plays everything well,  and has a real gift for hummable hooks! His style is somewhat reminiscent of your favorite guitar heroes from the 70s and 80s (Van Halen, Satriani) but with a distinctly modern twist.

Alex first joined our roster in 2015, and soon after we released his epic instrumental suite, Legend of the Lone Wolf. After this, he almost immediately began work on the follow-up. It’s four years in the making, but finally, in August of 2019, we were proud to release his album, Life Is A Dream (Spring). Finally, in early 2023, he delivered the smoldering 7 track effort Tomorrow Never Knows, which as always features his ultra creative guitar work. The wait proved well worth it as this is another musical movement which flows seamlessly from track to track, displaying an impressive range of styles and textures. In May of 2019, he contributed the sharp instrumental Fang to our Chill Before Serving collection, and the response has been tremendous!

Chicago musician Eric Sirota AKA Rota

Rota

Rota first signed with us basically right at the deadline for inclusion on our Suitable For Public Consumption compilation album. Since that time, we have also proudly released a full-length effort from him, Neurotica, and he has also contributed a killer cover of Neutral Milk Hotel’s Oh Comely to our label-wide compilation Chill Before Serving. When we asked him for a little biographical material, here’s what he had to say:

“Rota is a do-gooder lawyer by day and a rapper/spoken word poet by night and he needs both of these to stay sane. He is currently in the process of moving to Ann Arbor to supervise students who provide free representation to veterans at Michigan Law School. He is a proud member of Rogue Tendency in Champaign, Illinois, and the Nocturnals and the Interfaith Poets in Chicago. You can’t miss him. He’s the tallest Jew for miles.”

In more recent years, Rota has dispensed The Bad Place EP, as well as the excellent standalone single, Feed The Kids Dirt, featuring Emma.
