Hailing from a country “that’s fused with acoustic flavor,” as he describes it, Msf Sadib is a Bangladesh artist on the rise. His unique though instantly compelling electronic compositions first came to our attention in November 2020, and he joined our roster soon after. MSF stands for Mohammod Shah Fattehullah, a name given to him by his grandfather. Apart from being an indie composing artist Msf Sadib earned a degree in Dentistry from Shaheed Suhrwardy Medical College. Here are some additional details provided to us from his official press release:
Music has its imprint on everybody. So it had on Sadib. Everything can be depicted in terms of music. Sadib is inspired by his very inner emotion that runs wild. Music has its flaws and it’s the flaws that make things interesting for him creating endless motion of sound.
Msf Sadib has always been up to finding new ways to concoct sound as he doesn’t want to wind up in any specific genre. Nevertheless, he yields toward lush and soulful jazzy sounds. Sadib’s influence ranges from 80’s classic, Neo-Souls, Bebops and modern experimental electronic music. From the crazy fusion comes the bizarre and perhaps some sounds that wants to touch across time. Whatever it is Msf Sadib wants to touch the higher ground, where thoughts end music philosophy breaks the way. And you may find him just at those crossroads.
Besides music Msf Sadib loves writing. He has written stories in magazines like Youthwave and in the national daily newspaper Prothom Alo. He also secured 14th place in top 20 winner list of “Synthmaster Annual Track Contest 2020” held by KV331 audio.
Msf also adds that, “wherever stakes are high the dice should roll regardless of the destiny.” It’s an interesting creed we haven’t heard before, one that seems to match his approach to music and life. Indeed, he admits this is “perhaps the soul philosophy” of his tiny world – one that has us eager to see where this journey takes him. Ka O Kha is his most recent single, and we find this one of the more unexpected yet compelling electronic compositions we’ve heard in a while. He also creates his own distinct, unforgettable artwork, which you can see on the Youtube clips for Bizarre By Own Right, as well as his many other compositions:
