Siles Hendrix

Born Glen Dale Coleman, Jr. in a small country town by the name of Belle Glade, FL, the artist known as Siles Hendrix (formerly Almighty Siles) describes himself as a “goofy, laid-back type of guy.” But make no mistake about it, music has always been his first love.  He realized at an early age that music was his dream job. Honing his skills while attending job corps, he became a freestylist, and then, after returning to Florida at age 18, he dropped a mixtape single that became quite popular in the region.  After taking a few years off during college, he is back on the scene, working with “a football team of artists” to help craft his latest r & b smashes.

Here is a nifty little piece about him The Daily Chronicle, too. It explains a little bit more about his life and musical history: https://thedailychronicle.in/news/293784/glendale-coleman-jr-november-18th-1985-better-known-by-his-stage-name-siles-hendrix-formerly-known-as-almighty-siles-is-an-american-musician-rapper-rb/

Singer-songwriter S.B. Olson

This heartfelt American singer-songwriter specializes in raw confessionals which sound so fresh, it’s as though he’s playing in the same room as you. He has been on a tremendous hot streak with his songwriting lately, up to and including his latest release, Vision Aura. As always he remains an impressive one-man-band of various talents, from writing and performing these songs himself, to recording alone in his home studio. The tracks continually exude warmth and immediacy, blending elements of folk, rock, alternative and blues into a style all his own. He describes his songs as “old friends,” and that does seem especially apt when considering his music.

Cellardoor

Artist, designer and producer André Graciotti, from São Paulo – Brazil, cellardoor attempts to create songs with emotional complexity, looking for elaborated electronic textures and cinematic soundscapes without losing his pop sensibility, inspired by bands such as Beach House, The Cure, Depeche Mode and Radiohead.

Graciotti has already released three full albums, two EP and a number of singles, venturing himself in each new release into different styles and music genres, from electronic-dance-music (Random Alarms EP) to indie-folk (Changing Tides EP). After having collaborated with lots of artists – Brazilians and foreigners – cellardoor had a highlight in 2018 when he was invited by other independent musicians to take part in a compilation of Radiohead covers, named “Raindown”. He did his version of “Where I End and You Begin”.

His new album, “Seashores & Riversides”, is formed entirely by collaboration with foreign singers, whom he met online through social music services, like soundcloud and bandcamp, and developed it through long-distance recordings. The album has also a dedicated instagram profile, @seashores_and_riversides, as a visual project and a kind of a digital-interactive-booklet, with lyric-videos for each song.

Bullhead*ded

Bullhead*ded-Colorado-rap-trio
Colorado hip-hop trio Bullhead*ded

This comedic rap trio from Colorado had this to say about their own unique sound, in a press release accompanying their Boiled Bones album: “Bullhead*ded, known as The Most Notorious Group In The Underground has been winning over hearts and heads for over a decade. Recognized as having one of the highest-energy shows around, their style and experience is probably most relatable to The Beastie Boys. For several years Bullhead*ded has been carving their place into hip-hop history, and are now looking to cement their place as one of the greatest groups of all time. They have cut their teeth all across the U.S. sharing stages with such legends as Mos Def AKA Yasin Bey, Public Enemy, KRS-One, Sage Francis, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony & Long Beach Dub All-Stars to name a few. Their story is one of Legend. A story of love, a story of lust. A story of failure, and triumph and more failure. This is a story of freedom, and the chains that bind. A story of who, but most importantly a story of why. This is a story of pain, and one of loss. But mostly, this is a story of LOVE.

Consisting of the mighty Che Bong, the masterful Nato Lucero and the brazen ZETfree. A bond of brotherhood has been forged between these three that has already endured the group far beyond the normal life span of a vast majority of hip-hop groups. The main meaning behind the name is an indicator of their unwillingness to quit. Their drive to continue in their passion no matter what. They are too stubborn and bullheaded to ever stop their journey.     “Boiled Bones” Chapter 1 of the Brazen Series We present to you “Boiled Bones” the first part in a 3 part story known as Brazen series. We will be joining in with our audience on a fantastic journey. Think of it as a mystery adventure we invite you to take part in. In correlation to the three EPs (Boiled Bones, Heart Stones and Brazen) will be the release of comic books of the same names in succession.  The comic books tell the story of “Our Young Hero”. The comics take place in a not too distant future where Technology and Religion are one, and government rules both with an iron fist. Freedom of speech and thought that are not in favor of the institution are all but outlawed. As “Boiled Bones” starts a pirate radio broadcast commences the exact way the Comics start… “Much Like anyone you may know… from a town like anywhere… Our young hero was given a life not much different than most.” A whole world awaits “our young hero”. An epic saga. And, as you come to learn by the end of the Brazen series. This is our young hero’s story, but it might as well be our own.”

In 2020, they contributed the captivating, high energy track Try Me Out See What You Think to our Fiction Avenue compilation. We expect even greater things from this trio over the years to come!

Z3H

Z3H (Zayn Hashmi) is a relatively new addition to the Exquisite Noise roster. His tracks thus far have mostly fused modern electronic sounds with pop sensibilities, to great effect. He has already released five singles with us, with his latest, Destiny, arriving in June 2020. We can’t wait to hear what he comes up with next. When asked to describe a little bit about himself, he had this to say:

I am a British-Pakistani med student. I love writing songs in my spare time. Music has always been a source of inspiration for me. I love all the genres but edm is my favorite.I love listening to Nirvana and classical music (crazy combo ikr).

The lyrics for Destiny are ones that mean a lot to him, enough that he would like to share these here as well:

I am talking one last dance

Between you and me

They call it just a chance

We’ll call it destiny

Rising up from the flame

Angels burning their wings

Oh it’s just a game

The game of destiny

Our souls they unite

Kissing in the light

Light that shines from above

For eternity

Romanian singer Giulia Mihai

Giulia Mihai

Giulia Mihai – “This Summer” single cover

Giulia Mihai is a Romanian artist who has been on the Exquisite Noise roster for quite some time. Debuting with us on the standout track This Summer in the spring of 2019, she has since garnered rave reviews for her work – and was surely accomplishing the same before we ever found her. However, this prolific pop composer, who has an amazingly sweet voice with impressive range, recently stepped up her game even higher with the Uh…La, La, La maxi-single. This 3 song effort is a terrific sampler of Giulia brings to the table. In addition to a pair of a cappella offerings, both excellent demonstrations of her voice, there’s also a dance mix of the title track – which is especially impressive in that Giulia not only writes her own material, but also laid down the music for this track herself.

We are thrilled to have her as part of the Exquisite Noise team, and are expecting an even brighter future for this dazzling performer. Be sure to get on board and follow her progress, in all the right places!

Sotiris Sarkavazis

Sotiris Sarkavazis is a talented performer from Greece, who labels himself as playing “world music,” but can in fact pull off a wide variety of styles. Earlier this year we released his Summer Visions With Flamenco album, for example, which is a really gorgeous acoustic effort. But he has also branched out effectively into blues, straightforward rock, and a number of other genres. His good friend (and fellow Exquisite Noise artist) Ulisseus describes Sotiris as one of the best guitar players in the country – and if you check out his material, we’re confident you will agree. Aside from all that, however, his songs remain in your head long after you’ve listened to them, so he’s bringing hooks and melodies to the forefront as well.

Ulisseus

Ulisseus-Athens-Greece

Hailing from Thessaloniki, Greece, Ulisseus is multilingual and specializes in a style you might term world music meets hip-hop, but at any rate is very distinct, a creation truly his own. We dropped his debut album, the eclectic A Lil Prayer, in 2015, and his follow-up, Babel, was released in 2018. For the uninitiated, we would recommend Welcome to the Madness and So It Begins (which manages to be insanely catchy even if you don’t speak Greek!), but you really can’t go wrong checking out any of his highly original compositions:

Cemre

Cemre

Cemre is a producer, lyricist, MC, beat maker, you name it, who joined our roster in October 2019. Hailing from Turkey, he has been composing since 2012 and is highly technical about his craft. When asked about the details behind his debut single with us, Blurriness, for example, he had this to say:

“I made Blurriness on FL Studio Mobile about 10 months ago and the mastering of the beat was done by Artline Record Company in Ankara, Turkey. There are 16 channel in the project of the beat: 2 Pads (called Emotions), 2 808 Basses with kick (called 808 Synth Destroyed and 808 Synth Blasted), Picked Bass, Snare (called MA Obscure Snare), Clap (called Attack Clap 03), Hat (called FL Chromo CH 2), Hat (called Attack Hat 11), Hat (called FL GrvCH 02), Hat (called Downstream CHat 01), Percussion (called MA MachineCity Perc), Cymbal (FL Ekit Cymbal 1), 2 Bell Sounds (called Messybell) and Female Sound (called LollieVox Ahh). I applied Graphic EQ, Reverb and Trance Delay to the Pads…Graphic EQ to the 808 Basses…Graphic EQ to the picked bass. I applied Graphic EQ and Reverb to the snare…Graphic EQ and Reverb to the clap…Graphic EQ to the first hat…Graphic EQ to the percussion. I applied Trance Delay and Reverb to the cymbal. I applied Trance Delay and Reverb to the bell sounds. I applied Graphic EQ and Reverb to the female sounds. The BPM of the beat is 165. The sample rate of the beat with mastering is 24 bit 44.1 khz.”

More to the point, however, he has created an evocative track with Blurriness, its skittering beat fading in and out atop a dreamy, melodic keyboard and other complimentary elements. So give a listen here and be sure to track the progress of this compelling breakout figure:
