Nick is a breakout artist who has called the upstate NY town of Webster his home from the day he was born. He’s been writing and playing music for about a decade, with a primary focus on guitar – although he also lends his talents to the occasional keyboard, harmonica, accordion, and whatever else might be needed. He cites Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, and Van Morrison among his many, mostly classic rock oriented inspirations. Recently his song Fillin’ Up Balloons was featured as lead-in music on The Tony Kornheiser Show.
His captivating single Why So Trying? kicked off 2020 in typically melodic fashion. Nick also recently joined forces with Cameron Ralg on a spirited cover on the Bob Dylan classic, I Shall Be Released. And if this weren’t enough, the amazingly prolific Bowen also frequently collaborates with Kevin Johnson. While Nick’s solo offers trend more toward what you might call indie folk, his efforts with Kevin typically have more of a full band sound to them. More recently, Nick has also released an imaginative re-interpretation of the R.E.M. classic Strange Currencies, too. But in whatever guise, these are all catchy offerings, with smooth vocals, clean production, and solid pop hooks! So give a listen below and be sure to follow these guys in all the right places:
